Great Strength!

How very true it is that Strength comes from God.  I know that right now my children are sick and struggling. I am tired from lack of sleep (my little boy woke up every 45 to 60 minutes needing his nose wiped!) and I feel a bit drained.  Thankfully the Lord Jesus is there for me using my frame for His service to my family.  I love knowing I can rest in Him for He is always there for me.  Praise God for His faithfulness!
I am entering this card in Word Art Wednesday's challenge.  For this card, I used the Word Art from a wonderful Christian lady and fellow sister in Christ Jesus - Karen at Papercraft Memories. I am truly blessed by what she shares, I highly recommend you visit her! For the rest of the card, I used some Tim Holtz distress in in sage to soften the edges of the quote, matted it to some misc cardstock and tied a rope around it.  I popped this up on some great paper from K&Company and some handmade paper from my collection. The edges I've distressed and added a bit more ink to darken them.  The buttons to are from my collection and I just unravelled some of the rope that was left over and tied it onto the buttons and adhered them to the card.
Thank you so much for dropping by! I love being able to share with you!

Sweet Baby Carriage

I have another card I'd like to share with you today.  It's a baby girl card, because the ladies I know seem to be having baby girls this year! LOL I've chosen to use the sketch over at Seems A Little Sketchy - since I love their challenges.  I chose the sweet baby carriage from Broken Box Stock and the sentiment is from BrossArtAddiction.  I coloured each with markers and layered them on some cardstock with the edges inked a bit.  I've popped these up over some floral paper from Stampin' Up and an embossed panel I made with my Cuttlebug.  The ribbon is from Multicraft Imports and the buttons from my collection.  Now I feel like I'm prepared, unless more than one of these ladies have girls.  Perhaps I should make another one soon! LOL

Here's the sketch they're using for this challenge.  It's lovely so you might enjoy joining in to! Thanks for coming by! Hugs.

What is Love?

Time for some Love! My children are all sick today so I'll try to be brief.  I just wanted to share this with you.  I used an image from Digi My World, which is pre-coloured.  I tied a button onto the heart with some embroidery thread and attached it to some cardstock from Stampin' Up.  I popped it up over some more ribbon that I actually tied inside the card (sorry I forgot to take a pic of that!) which is crossed over some lovely paper from K&Company.  It was a simple card, but I hope it warms someones heart!
I'm entering this card in Little Miss Muffet's challenge- Valentines/Love; Sentimental Sundays-Feel the Love; and Shelly's Images challenge- All Tied Up.
Thanks for stopping by to have a peek! Hugs.

Love is Sweet

Today I have another post for you, this one is for MelJen's challenge - Loving You.  This is such a sweet bear and I wanted to make this card so that I'd have one on hand to give a friend to let them know I care about them.  I always like to have some of these on hand!
For this card, I printed out the image and coloured it with my pencil crayons, then inked around the edges.  I layered it on some Stampin' Up cardstock and distressed the edges a bit.  This panel is popped up over a couple different layers of matted papers from Stampin' Up also.  The ribbon was a gift, and the red rhinestones are from Forever in Time.  I thought they added a nice touch.  I actually added a sentiment to the inside of this card -which I often do not do.  It's from TLC and I thought it paired really well with this image.
In the bottom corner I added a heart by Fiskars with some Colorbox ink.
I'm also entering this card in Stampin' Sisters in Christ's - Create something with Love in it challenge.
Thank you for coming by, have a wonderful day!

Purple Birthday

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.  Today I have a card to share with you that I've created for the Digi My World birthday challenge.  I've chosen to use Emma- happy birthday set.  My children love her and I coloured her up in purple because it's a favourite of the girls to.  This time I tried to give her hair a bit of a shine to it.  What do you think, did it work?  I rounded the image and layered her on some lovely purple cardstock from my stash.  The patterned paper is from K & Company and I added a scalloped edge with a pair of decorative scissors.  The birthday sentiment needed an extra layer so I added a hand cut scallop to it.  I wanted to highlight Emma's lovely hair so I added a yellow ribbon just tied off.  To finish it off, I added small black rhinestones to the corners of the image section.  I hope this brings a smile to a little girl someday!

Challenge me White on White

Whose up for a challenge? This week it's white on white over at Card Crafter's Circle.  I've never done a card like this before and I must say that this was a huge challenge for me! Somehow I never realized that there are so many shades of "white".  I love to do new things so here is my first WOW card.
This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Whoopsi Daisy Stamps.
I've been given this lovely lady at her birdcage to work with.  It's so elegant that I knew that I'd have to add my Victoria flourish embossing folder to the mix and some lovely lace.  I coloured her dress, doing my best to create some lovely folds.  I also blended just a bit of colour onto her back- yes this wasn't a mistake. I once saw this elegant gown with lace that overlapped onto the back of the dress and it just looks exquisite so I tried to give that effect.  I had these sweet lily of the valley silk flowers so I used some stems of them, rolling up three of them to create a mass of blooms to the one side with two stretching out from it.  I purposely left off the sentiment so that it can be for any occasion.
Do come share with us, there are 2 sheets of images from Whoopsi Daisy up for the prize! Do go check out her images, I'm sure you'll want more than will fit on  two sheets!
