Cozy Winter Wishes

I'd love to send all of you cosy winter wishes!  Here in the Yukon it's super snowy and cold and I'm holed up in my cosy home!  This week at Card Crafter's Circle we have a new challenge beginning.  It's December Celebrations.  So whatever you may be celebrating this month, please come and share it with us.  I have a sweet little girl who will be having her birthday this month and she loves dogs and snowmen, so I thought that this might be enjoyed by her!
For my card, I've used a wonderful pre-coloured image from our sponsor Whoopsie Daisy and it's called winter bench.  I've combined it with some Recollections paper and some lace and ribbon I bought at Wallmart.

A Day at the Races!

Hello everyone! It's time for the races and everyone is bringing out their glamour and high fashion for the event.  The horses are at the starting gates and everyone is high spirited!  It's a day at the races and we'd love to see you at the Card Crafter's Circle!  The greens are trimmed, the flowers are abundant and the sound of excited horses and people alike mingle in ones' ear.
For my card I've used an image by Whoopsie Daisy (girl with parasol).  I know the hats are all the rave, but this little girl has her darling parasol to show off.  I've used some wonderful papers from American Crafts (it's the sparkly base) and Recollections.  The Stamps are from Studio G and I added some fun high gloss bubble flowers to the banner and rhinestones to her shoes.
While I was out on the trip, we drove past Ellis Park which is a huge race track so I thought you might like to see it. Here it is as seen from the highway!

Vintage Girly

Today I have a card to share with you that has a vintage feel to it.  It is created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle and the theme this week is ........yes, Vintage.  

For my card I've used an image from our sponsor - Whoopsie Daisy and isn't she sweet? 

I've coloured her with a combo of pencil crayons and markers.  Then for my layers of paper, I've used a sweet combo from K& Company.  I cut out a slice of a doily and inked it with pink and Tim Holtz bundled sage distress.  I added a touch of distressing to each layer and then a bow and flower and pearls.  Wow those old dresses used to be so ornate and frilly! Sure makes a girl, "girly".

Are You Feeling Sketchy?

Hi! We've another great sketch for you at Seems A Little Sketchy this week.

Isn't it great! Here's what I've come up with.

I have used a Whoopsie Daisy image and coloured her with my Prismas.  I combined her with some wonderful papers by ATD Momenta which I've inked a bit with my Tim Holtz -bundled sage. The ribbon is by So Facile and I added three floral eyelets from Portafolia.  The extra butterflies I have cut out of the design paper.  I haven't added a sentiment.....yet.  I wanted to have this in my stash for any occasion.

Happily Ever After......

Do you have a happily ever after story?  I do....I've been married close to 16 years now and even though there have been tons of rough seas to navigate, by God's grace I can say that I am so blessed!

Today I have a wedding card to share with you that I've created for this weeks challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle.  Do come join us HERE, June is the wedding month around where I'm from. (Although I broke the mold and got married in August.)

For the card I've cut the image out with a scalloped oval die and then matted it to some blue cardstock and cut around it with some decorative scissors.  I popped this over a layer of embossed white and tucked a little spray of toule in under the one corner. For the other corner I've put together a mini bouquet and then added some pearls for charm.  The sentiment I found free online through Pinterest.  Although I truthfully struggle with elegant wedding cards, my lovely teamies said I pulled it off.  Do pop over to the Card Crafter's Circle if not to play just to see the wonderful creations my teamies have created for your viewing pleasure!  I'm sure you'll want to play along! All that Glitters!

Hello, I have a card to share with you for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle - Glitter.  I have chosen to try something new and that is to create a window.  I have stamped and heat embossed some flourishes around the "window" I cut out with my scallop oval die.  Then I added some gold rhinestones to compliment and add some more glitter.  The card base is also glittery.  Then when you open the card up.....

I chose to add this sweet angel over the diecut that was left over from the "window" and I have inked around the edges of the angel layer with some gold sparkle ink.  The wonderful word art is from Papercraft Memories by Karen and it's matted on some of the glittery paper as well.  Before I attached these two sections I stamped once more and heat embossed this beautiful flourish.  Here are a couple more pics for you to be able to see the details better and the glitter that I added to the angel's wings.

Lemonade Days to Come!

Who loves a good cup of sweet lemonade on a hot day? These days are coming.....  Today I have a card to share with you that I've created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle.  It's a Tic Tac Toe challenge and you pick your line.  I've chosen the line Flowers, Use a Digi, and Diecuts (punched border).  Here is the grid to give you an idea of the great combos to be made.

This week our sponsor is Whoopsie Daisy and I've chosen to work with this sweet little man buying lemonade from the pretty little lady.  I've combined papers from Magenta and the Paper Company with an added lacy border created with my EK Success border punch.  I created a sunshine background for this sweet image with a circle of mulberry paper.  The sentiment is from BrossARTaddiction and I added some great popped up flowers by SandyLion.

Challenge me White on White

Whose up for a challenge? This week it's white on white over at Card Crafter's Circle.  I've never done a card like this before and I must say that this was a huge challenge for me! Somehow I never realized that there are so many shades of "white".  I love to do new things so here is my first WOW card.
This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Whoopsi Daisy Stamps.

I've been given this lovely lady at her birdcage to work with.  It's so elegant that I knew that I'd have to add my Victoria flourish embossing folder to the mix and some lovely lace.  I coloured her dress, doing my best to create some lovely folds.  I also blended just a bit of colour onto her back- yes this wasn't a mistake. I once saw this elegant gown with lace that overlapped onto the back of the dress and it just looks exquisite so I tried to give that effect.  I had these sweet lily of the valley silk flowers so I used some stems of them, rolling up three of them to create a mass of blooms to the one side with two stretching out from it.  I purposely left off the sentiment so that it can be for any occasion.
