A Vintage Birthday Card

Hello Friends!  I have a card to share with you today that I made for a sweet young lady.  Something vintage and full of movement.

I had found a scrap of this pretty paper that had been given me a long time ago.  Just waiting for the right project. I added a touch of inking around the outside of the layers to soften the edges.  Then I added some lovely lace and a bit of string.  Then it still looked kinda lonely so I added a couple layered flowers under the bow.  The larger flower having sparkles that matched the touch of pink in the paper.  Then for a finishing touch I added some fun buttons that I just took off an old shirt. It's fun when those details come together.

Here's a close up of the flowers and bow.

Here's a close up of the fun button.

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)  Hope you have a delightful day!

None Upon The Earth

Hi Crafty Friends! Today I have another Word Art Wednesday card to share with you! The word art is free on the blog HERE! feel free to use it or not.  The thing I love about this challenge is that it is always anything goes!
What an amazing God is he, that created the universe and all that's in it, and then gave himself as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sin.
For the card, I chose some Momenta paper along with a simple crocheted ribbon and some seam binding (that I love!).  I chose to highlight the blue in the butterfly with the mattings.
Thank you for dropping by, and do pop over to the challenge and see all the wonderful inspiration that is to be had, from DT members and entrants alike!

Vintage Stitches

Hello Friends! Today is a new challenge over at the Card Crafter's Circle and it's all about Stitching! So  faux stitching like I've done or if you like real stitching that's fabulous to!

For my card I've used this wonderful silhouette image by Floppy Latte called Little Hibiscus and the flower stem called Floral Corner Arrangement.  I coloured them with my pencil crayons and then added them to the card over a doily (Cherry Lynn Designs) and striped paper from K & Company.  I added some crocheted lace and a wonderful sentiment from Tina Wenke.

Now Floppy Latte is giving a wonderful prize to the winner so why not give it a chance?  Do pop over to the Card Crafter's Circle and see the wonderful inspiration that they are sharing!
I would also love to share this card with Word Art Wednesday.

*Forever*

Hello Friends! Today I'd like to invite you to join us at Card Crafter's Circle for our vintage challenge.  This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Floppy Lattes Designs and the prize is a $6 gift certificate for their store!

For my card I have been given this wonderful silhouette image called Summer Party.  I've coloured her hat and cut her out with my oval cutter and then layered it over some cardstock with an edge cut with my decorative scissors.  As a final touch I covered it with my crystal glaze accent glue to create a type of cameo feel.  I placed this over some wonderful papers by K& Company and added a strip of crocheted lace and ribbon.  The tag-forever is from the paper pad and then I added three crocheted flowers with buttons to finish it all off.
I used the word forever since, the wonderful vintage looks that we enjoy seem to hang in time and those dear to us...well, they are forever in our hearts!
I've also finished up the inside with some more of these lovely papers and a free sentiment from Sharon at A Piece of Heart blog.  Do pop over to see her wonderful creations!

Do you love vintage? Or would you love to have a go at it? We'd love to see what you create! Come join us at the Card Crafter's Circle!

Vintage Girly

Today I have a card to share with you that has a vintage feel to it.  It is created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle and the theme this week is ........yes, Vintage.
For my card I've used an image from our sponsor - Whoopsie Daisy and isn't she sweet?

I've coloured her with a combo of pencil crayons and markers.  Then for my layers of paper, I've used a sweet combo from K& Company.  I cut out a slice of a doily and inked it with pink and Tim Holtz bundled sage distress.  I added a touch of distressing to each layer and then a bow and flower and pearls.  Wow those old dresses used to be so ornate and frilly! Sure makes a girl, "girly".
Hope you're having a wonderful day! Do drop by the Card Crafter's Circle to see all the wonderful creations from the design team!
Oh and here's a pic of the inside.  Not fancy, but I added the sentiment there instead of on the front.
