Do you like dogs? I do, and they do add lots of texture to your life! In blankets and bones they leave laying around for you to step on. In added hair cushion to your sofas.
For Card Crafter's Circle this week it's all about texture. For my card I've chosen this cute puppy from Limited Runs and made a dog house for him. I even gave him some sparkle on his bone name tag.
I'm giving this card to my daughter who loves dogs, but I left off the sentiment since I'm not sure if it's for her birthday or a just because.
I hope you do come play along with us this week. So many textures out there, the sky's the limit and we'd love to see what you come up with! Limited Runs is sponsoring our challenge this week, so do go check them out to!
Do pop over to the Card Crafter's Circle blog and check out the wonderful inspiration from the design team. See you there!

In Stitches at Card Crafter's Circle!
Good Morning Everyone! I would love to share with you a card that I've created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle. It's all about stitching, machine or faux. We'd love to see how you like to sew! I always loved seeing the sewing hoops and the delicate stitching done by hand so that was my inspiration for the shape of my card. My card has also been made with this lovely birdhouse in mind. It was a gift for a friend of mine and I made the card to compliment it. Have a look. If the details are hard to see, just click on the pic and it'll pop up bigger for you.
I've used an incredible image by our sponsor Limited Runs called Morning Glory. I love the blossoms on the bare branches and can just hear the sweet songs from the birds as they great each other in the morning light. I've coloured the image with my prismas and added the faux stitching with a brown sharpie. I added a beautiful silvery bow and the butterfly charm is tied on with some tiny blue ribbon. Here is a pic of the inside.
I've added a few layers that have been inked a bit with Tim Holtz sage distress ink that I've cut out with my Creative Memories circle cutters. The sentiment is from Digi Design House which is no longer available. I was so sad that they decided to close their doors.

You Lead - IFALO
This is a card that I've created for the fun challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle - To die for using die cuts (machine or handcut). I had the opportunity to use Limited Runs - car image! Since it was my "engagement anniversary" this past weekend I made this for my husband who asked me to marry him 16 years ago on the 11th. I'm a firm believer that the man leads and the woman follows so I thought I'd just remind my husband that I'm still following.
For this card I coloured and cut out this fun little car and used crystal laquer to create a shine for the window and the tail lights. I matted this to some textured cardstock matching the card base. I layered this over a map that I cut from some patterned paper I got at the dollar store and added some distress ink (Tim Holtz - old paper) and crinkled the paper up a bit. Since that is what maps usually go through! I cut it out with a frame template from Lily of the Valley and added it to the layers of patterned paper from Forever in Time. For my die cuts I used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die in two sizes for the sentiment. I then added the rest IFALO to the licence plate on the car. It still needed some thing else so I added some great screw brads from Forever in Time!
It's fun to play with dies, there is such a huge variety out there so pull them out and come join us at the Card Crafter's Circle this week! Limited Runs is offering up a wonderful prize of three digis!

You Make Me Smile!
Hi everyone, does this little guy make you smile? He makes me smile so I thought he'd be perfect for the challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Create a happy card: happy news, rejoice in life!
My friends make me smile all the time, so I chose this sentiment by TLC and the friend work on the envelope is from Fiscars clear stamps. I layered this little sweet heart on some distressed cardstock and some paper from K &Company. The ribbon and buttons are from my collection and the little bow is made with braiding cord from Elmers.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by. I love it when you do! Don't forget to tell one of your friends you care and share some smiles today!
