20 Years and Counting

Hello! I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful summer day.  I have a card to share with you that I made for my husband for our 20th wedding anniversary.  I used some paper odds and ends, some blue satin ribbon and some crochet flowers with rhinestone gems.

My husband and I when we got married picked a verse that we shared in our vows.  Psalm 62:6 "He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved."  We wanted our marriage and home to be built no the Rock of Christ Jesus the Lord.  20 years later, we're still there on that rock and we are blessed!  Many storms have come and gone, but one thing remains the same.  The Lord is our strength and keeps us in all times.

For our anniversary, my husband took me out on a date.  A rare thing for us, but a treasured thing.  We went out to eat at a nice quiet roadside restaurant, then out for ice cream.  I got to try Gelato ice cream for the first time...yes, I'm hooked.  It was so good.  Then we walked around together and enjoyed the drive.  I love that man!

I hope you all have a lovely day! Sharing with Word Art Wednesday!

Happy Anniversary From the Air!

Hello Friends! Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I've created for my parents.  Well the first got sent and the second is just tucked away.  It's their 40th anniversary soon and my brothers and I wanted to give them something special.  They'll be going on a hot air balloon ride hence the balloon and the tickets.  The second is a bit more girly so I thought it wouldn't be appropriate from my brothers and I.  So perhaps they'll get it at a later date. :)
Thank you so much for dropping by! Have a beautiful day!

17 Years and Counting

Hello! I just wanted to share the card that I made for my Husband for our anniversary today.  We've been married for 17 years and I look forward to growing old with him.  Dan has been so wonderful and as we grow together through seasons in our lives together we continue to stand on the Rock Christ Jesus the Lord who brought us together in the first place.  Our life verse together is Psalm 62:6 " He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved."
I usually add an odd number of buttons, but since we have four wonderful children together, I put four buttons.  I used papers by Teresa Collins and stamps by Forever in Time, Inkadinkado, and Studio g.  Some lace, ribbon and a bow.

I loved how this card turned out so much I made a similar one to set aside for another occasion.

I pray you're all having a wonderful day and if you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, know that He is the ROCK that can hold you fast in a world that is so uncertain.
"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it and fear and shall trust in the Lord."  - Psalm 40: 1-3
