I Love Fuzzy Ducks!

Hello everyone! Hope your day is as bright and cheery as mine is today! Today I have a card to share with you that I've created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle.  It's an Easter theme and the cards are all incredibly cheery, do come join us! For my part I've created my card using a Dearie Dolls image -Fuzzy Ducks.
I used some CS from Staples and the Dollar Store and layerd them together (one I ran through my Cuttlebug with the floral embossing folder) and distressed the edges a bit.  I added ribbon from SoFacille and feathers from my kids crafting supplies.  Atop of this I added my wonderful fuzzy ducks with their wonderful blue ribbons.  To share the joy of spring and new life I added a great sentiment from BrossArtaddiction.  To finish it off I added some small blue rhinestones from Forever In Time.
This week our wonderful sponsor is Dearie Dolls and if you haven't checked them out before you should.  Just click on the pic and it'll take you there.  The prize this week is three of her wonderful images.

I don't actually celebrate Easter. What! you say, keep reading..... Most all of the Easter traditions come from pagan origins and so as a Christian I choose not to participate in them.  I do joy in the coming of Spring and new life! As for the Lord Jesus, I chose to remember His death, burial, and resurrection each day of the year!  and of course through the Lord's Supper..."this do in remembrance of Me."-Luke 22:19
The Lord Jesus through his death, burial, and resurrection paid the price for sin once and for all.  What joy for those who have believed on the name of Jesus to know that they are forgiven and are watching for His blessed return! Do you have the wonderful gift of salvation that Jesus offered? If you don't, know that Jesus in his love for you, paid the price for your sin and longs for you to turn to Him in faith.  "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. " -Act 16:31 It is through Jesus alone that we may have Life Everlasting.  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." -John 14:6
Spring is a wonderful time to joy in new life and to thank the Lord Jesus for the life he gives to those who place their trust in Him.
Love and Prayers,
Jennifer

Gone Fishin'

Hi, thanks for stopping by! Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my Father-in-law's birthday.  Yes, he loves fishing! I used this fantastic cat fishing image from MelJen's and coloured it with prisma pencil crayons and markers.  The DP is from K&Company and the ribbon is from Multicraft Imports.  I wanted to try something different with the ribbon so I used my glue gun and made a line of hot glue and rippled the ribbon along it.  Then the top corner was empty so I added a couple fun tabs with the same ribbon.  The wonderful wooden fish I found at the recycling center free store and I attatched it with a great screw brad from Forever In Time.  All the ribbon was inked just a bit around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Sage.
For this card, I'm entering it in a brand new challenge blog called Just Keep on Creating!
                                            JkoC adv button
It looks like a wonderful new place to share your crafting creations! This is for their very first challenge so why not pop over and see what it's all about! (Just click on the image above). Thanks

Pig for Fun

I have been very distracted from making cards this week and so today I found some time to sit in my craft cubby and play.  I went looking through my stash of extra images that I'd printed off and haven't used yet.  I found this fantastic pig from Clear Dollar Stamps and it comes with the sentiment in the set called Loving Critters.  This set can be found at the Clear Dollar Stamps store HERE. There is also a coloured version of the same set.
Anyhow, I wanted to just play a little and this is what I came up with.  I coloured the image with my pencil crayons and cut it out.  It's layered over a die cut by spellbinders and some textured brown cardstock from the Dollar Store.  I added the swatch of burlap and then layered some great ribbons together.  I pulled out three great buttons from my collection that I tied a section of Elmer's braiding cord through.  After I added the sentiment, the one corner still looked a bit empty so I added a burlap tag with a matching bow tied to it.  Oh and I inked the sentiment and around the edge of the diecut with Ink It Up chocolate brown.
I hope to be able to play some more this weekend and have more to share with you.  Thank you for dropping by, I love to see you! Have a great weekend!

New Things

Hello, Thanks for dropping by today.  I just have a couple of things to share with you.  Spring is officially starting  on Wednesday and I am eager for it! The snow has just started to melt and I feel the itch to start growing things. I have started a few plants on my fridge under a grow light.
It's only been going for about 1 1/2 weeks and I already had to up-pot my patty pan squash.  Soon I'll have my shelves put up in my front window to accommodate their growth and the other plants I'll be starting.  Do you like to garden? What is your favourite thing to grow?
I also just learned how to crochet these great wash cloths.  My Mom has always made them for me and when she was up to visit last week showed me how.  Now I can make my own. Yeah! These are some of my first after I figured out how to make them straight on the sides.
Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great day!

He Loves

CiCtop5newerSM
Today I'd like to share with you a card that I've made inspired by the challenge going on over at Clearly iStamp.  It is a challenge inspired by SCRIPTURE.  I am using a sentiment from the set Melody of Truth and it can be found at Clear Dollar Stamps HERE

Every time I read this I hear the old hymn playing through my mind. Oh how He loves you and me! Such a great truth that God in his love sent down his Son Jesus to pay the price for our sins. And oh what a price it was.  I am so very thankful that His sacrifice paid the complete price for my sins.  Jesus in the Bible says this "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." -John 6:47  "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6  The Father is in Heaven, therefore if we are to go to heaven, there is only one way.  Praise God that Jesus has made a way for all to be saved and forgiven.  It is my prayer that if you haven't yet believed on Jesus for the salvation of your very soul that you would seek Him while there is time.  It says in the Bible in Hebrews 9:27 " And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:" Without believing on Jesus alone for salvation, there is no forgiveness for sin.  We have all sinned and we all need Jesus.  Have you believed?
I am also sharing this card at Word Art Wednesday.

The Golden Touch

Hello, do you have the golden touch when it comes to gardening? I don't! I do love gardening, but it never turns out like I dream of.  Over at the Card Crafter's Circle this week it's Pot of Gold- to use Gold in your creation.  I have used this wonderful girl and watering can called Lola from Milk Coffee since I have a love for collecting watering cans. This pic looks a bit bright, to see it clearer just click on the pic and then you can see it better!
I have used a couple new things on my card today. Well new techniques I've not used before.  One is the background I created myself using a new stamp from a set by Heidi Grace that I received as a blog candy from my friend Karen.  Then I also used another stamp from that same set to create the corners.  I first stamped them with pigment ink and then used some gold embossing powder and heat gun to give it that shiny gold finish.  I must say that it was fun to play with these new things!
For the card, I layered them all together with another strip of DP from Stampin' Up and added a blue bow from Offray.  For a final touch I added a beautiful circle sentiment that I found at Hanniele's Desert Diva Blog. (it's free!, and there are lots to choose from )
This week's sponsor at Card Crafter's Circle is Milk Coffee and We'd love to see your creations with Gold! The prize this week up for grabs is 3 digis for the winner and 1 for each of the top three! How generous! Lots of chances to win some wonderful images!

New Releases at Clear Dollar Stamps for March!

Hello everyone, I'd love to share with you some new sets being released today by Clear Dollar Stamps. First of all, who loves camping? If you do, this set's for you! Here is the card that I've created with this set.
I've chosen a prearranged scene from the set and coloured it with markers and pencil crayons.  I've layered it with some nice brown cardstock and a swatch of burlap.  The button is tied on with some Elmer's braiding cord through the burlap.  To top it off I had to add this fantastic sentiment that comes with the set.  I personally know better than to feed bears! I hope you do to.  Oh, I also added a fun new touch.  Did you notice the smore? I added some "snow" to create a puffy marshmellow filling!
Here's the set and you can now find it in their store.  It's an amazing set....lots of great ideas!

Next I have a card from the new Sunny Day set.
For this card I've chosen to use the image with this wonderful sentiment.  For the Lord has made every day! I have added layers with papers from Autumn Leaves and a ribbon from Multicraft Imports.  The rhinestones are from Forever in Time.  It's simple, but I just love the bright sun and cheery flowers!
You can find this set at the Clear Dollar Store as well.

My Parents are Coming Today!

Hi everyone, just wanted to share something with you today! I am so excited and I'm waiting here for my parents to arrive.  I haven't seen my parents in about 1 1/2 years and we are bursting at the seams about it! They are staying in a hotel around the corner from us this time so we put together some 'yummies' for them to munch on and this...
We bought it last Thursday -these bulbs go fast so we snagged one while we could.  It has opened more than I thought it would but here it is all dolled up and "supported".  It should make their room smell lovely!
Here is a close pic of the lovely flowers! This is my favorite colour of hyacinth and I wasn't disapointed to have to enjoy it for a few days before they get it. Plus of course a card,- wouldn't be complete without one, sorry I forgot to take a pic of it.  I dropped it off in their hotel room so it's waiting for them to check in.  Thanks for dropping by, I don't know how much I'll be posting this week, but be sure to come back Thursday for the new release day for Clear Dollar Stamps and Friday for the new challenge at Card Crafter's Circle! See you then!

Meow!

Today I have a card to share with you that I've created for the challenge over at For Fun! There's a lot of barking and meowing going on over there so do pop over and see what it's all about!  I absolutely love cats and would have a housefull of them but alas, I'm allergic to anything with hair - pet wise that is.
For this card I've used a wonderful image -Fat Cat by Sandy from Scribbles by Sandy.  The sentiment is by Doodle Pantry.  I found these fantastic papers by Making Memories and combined them with some wonderful cardstock by Stampin' Up.  Around the image I sponged on some ink by Windflower in blue.  I coloured the image in pencil crayons and have been playing with the shading.  What do you think?  I left this card simple, I didn't think that it needed anything else.  Plus it's easy to pop in an envelope and stick in the mail.

Trust in Thee

Today I have a card that I'd like to share with you.  I have been learning to use embossing powders and I thought that I'd give it a try with this card.  If you click on the picture, it'll get bigger so you can see it better.  I have used some Word Art by Karen from Papercraft Memories.  Karen makes word art with scripture and her posts are always so encouraging!   May God be praised for He alone is God and beside Him there is none other! My heart is indeed joyful knowing that this amazing God is also the one whom has forgiven my sins and given me eternal life through His son Jesus!
For this card, I've layered the image which is lightly inked with gold ink around it's edges, then matted on some blue (Stampin' Up) and green cardstock(textured Dollar Store).  I've used some Stampology black ink and embossing pearl in gold from Ranger Industries.  My card class instructor was so generous to give me a heat gun from jobmate (new in the box).  She had replaced her need of the older style with the new craft heat guns and didn't want it anymore.  So I've been playing.  Still not a pro, but am learning.  The stamps that I used are Inkadinkado for the flower flourish and Heidi Grace for the corners.  I love to try new things!
I'm going to be sharing this card with the ladies over at Word Art Wednesday.  Where God's word is the focus!
Thank you for dropping in to see what I've been up to.  I hope you're enjoying the weekend so far!
My parents are coming to visit in just two more sleeps and we are all excited here.  Trying to get the house in order for their visit!

My Heart Flutters

My heart fluttered when I saw this and I think it's beautiful.  I have created this card for the challenge over at Stampin' Sister's In Christ Things with wings and the challenge at Sentimental Sundays words of encouragement.  I believe all friends need to be reminded that they are cherished. I sure have come to cherish  you, my online friends more than I realized that I would.  I would love to sit and have tea with all of you!
For this card I've used the Butterfly Bunny set from Clear Dollar Stamps found here .   Layered the image and sentiment (which I've inked a bit with Color Box blue) on some great cardstock from the Paper Company and Autumn Leaf.  The digital paper is also from the pre-coloured Butterfly Bunny set.  The rhinestones are from Glitterazzi and the mini ric-rac is by Wright's.  I added just a touch of distressing with this one.
May your heart flutter when friends come to mind and smiles touch your face when friends you meet!

Here's Looking at You!

Do you ever feel like someone is watching you? I have, it's often spiders or some other little creature, that's found it's way to me.  Over at the Sweet Stampin' challenge blog, it's all about nature, bugs and bees.  I saw this great pre-coloured set by Clear Dollar Stamps called Praying Eyes Mantis found Here.  This guys eyes just jumped out at me and I couldn't help myself!
When I think of someone watching me, I often remember that the Lord Jesus sees me, all the time.  He knows  my thoughts and motives to.  Knowing this spurs me on to be careful little eyes what I see/ ears what I hear/ mouth what I say and feet where I go.  I love the children's song that I often sing to my kids to remind them that everything they do is important and that the Lord Jesus is watching us all the time.  It spurs me to live right, but it is also a comfort to know that I am never alone and that He is always there for me!
For this card, I used the image and sentiment from the Clear Dollar Stamps set, layered them with some great papers from K & Company and the Dollar Store.  I used a beautiful green ribbon from Offray and some yellowy green rhinestones from Forever In Time.  The edges were inked with Windflower green ink.  Do you notice anything with the eyes? I used some Diamond Glaze by Judikins to add some dimention to them.
Thanks so much for dropping by.

Forest Friends

Today I have some forest friends to share with you.  Over at Card Crafter's Circle this week we are being sponsored by KPM Doodles.  They are offering two sets of the winners choice! How exciting!
                                             KPM Doodles
For my card I used their Forest Friends set.  There are lots of great creatures and flora in this set, but this little raccoon and mushroom set caught my eye! I coloured them, then fussy cut them (the racoons just opposite each other).  I arranged them over some layers I created with some great Stampin' Up papers and stamped the sentiments right on the DP. The sentiments are from a clear stamp set made by Fiskars.   I added a bright orange satin ribbon from Multicraft Imports, and simply tied it off.   The top corners looked a bit plain so I added a couple stamped flourishes with green ink.  then I added a corner of DP to match the bottom panel and hand-cut a scalloped edge around the circles.
Well, it's all about Orange and Green at the Card Crafter's Circle.  I'd love to see your creations!

I Will Praise Thee

Hello, thanks for dropping by today.  I have a card to share with you that I've made for the challenge over at Word Art Wednesday.  I never get tired of praising the Lord for His amazing blessings and the amazing salvation that He has given me.  What a precious thing it is to be blessed with having His Word the Bible to read and learn from!
I printed out this passage from Psalm 9:1-2, inked it a bit and matted it to some textured cardstock.  The purple layer I cut around with my decorative scissors to create a nice frame.  I popped this up over another layer of some beautiful paper from Autumn Leaf.  The ribbon is from Espirit and Multicraft Imports.  The buttons I purchased at Wallmart and the rhinestones are from Forever in Time.

Hoppy-ness!

Hello, Today I'd love to share some hoppy-ness with you all.  I have been wanting to use this sweet set from Clear Dollar Stamps HERE.  This little bunny is just too adorable to sit in my files unused! So here he is, coloured with prisma pencil crayons and tucked into some "bushes" that I've made with my EK Success border punch and wrapped with some ribbon from Kaisercraft.  The papers are for DCWV and K&Company. The card base is from the Dollar Store.  I added this sentiment which is also from this set and then added some bright pearls from Forever in Time.  I enjoyed making this one so much that I made another...
So if you love this bunny as much as I do pop over and see the whole set! HERE! Thanks for dropping by!

Buttons Anyone?

Hello, thank you for dropping by! Today I have a card to share with you that I've made for Card Crafter's Circle.  The challenge this week is to use BUTTONS! I love buttons and use them whenever I can.  I decided to try something different and when I saw this image from Bugaboo Stamps I thought it would be perfect for button flowers!
I printed off the image and then used some green and blue ink from Windflower to sponge it with and then I went to work pairing up buttons with each flower.  I sewed them on with yellow embroidery thread that I had in my stash of things. Here's a close up of the buttons I used.

After this I rounded the corners and matted it on some cardstock left over from making my card base and rounded those corners to.  Then I realized that I had forgotton to look for some patterned paper to go with.....thankfully I found some from DCWV that was perfect!  Then since I liked the rounded corners so much I continued to do the rest of the card that way.  Before I put the layers together I added some strips of new green ribbon from Offray I found. It still needed something more after I was done so I popped up the corner of the image and added a bow.
Now it's time for you to show use your buttons, and I don't mean belly buttons! We'd love for you to share with us your button talent at Card Crafter's Circle! Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.
                                                                Bugaboo
