Erin Go Bragh

Hello all you Irish fans out there, come on over to the Card Crafter's Circle and join us.  I'm not one for luck or little people, but I'm married into Irish heritage and they are a happy lot!  Erin Go Bragh that's written on the one coin is an Irish saying meaning Ireland Forever.
For my card I've used three coins from a large collection from MellonHeads (our sponsor this week) and do go poke around their great store for some treasures.
I've used some great green paper from K & Company and embossed the centre panel with my cuttlebug.  Simple but fun.
Have a great day and if you've some time, pop over to the Card Crafter's Circle for some great inspiration.

Let the Words of My Mouth.....

Hello Friends! Today I'd like to share with you a frame that I decorated.  I found it second hand and it was a touch banged up so I thought I'd play with it.  I printed out this wonderful word art from Word Art Wednesday's challenge last week on some digital paper and then added a strip of patterned paper from K&Company to each side.  As I looked at the word art panel now in the frame I thought about the colours and went rummaging through my ribbons and such for things to compliment it.  I found this piece of suede ribbon and then folded a piece of beige satin ribbon over the top unfinished side.  After gluing that on I started to crochet some flowers in a colours that I thought would compliment.  I made the flowers out of embroidery thread (using the full strand for the larger flowers and half that for the smaller ones.)  Then I layered them together with a deep yellow brad and glued them in place to.  I found this great HOPE tag and thought it would look nice hanging in that empty corner so I crocheted a  flap with matching thread from the flowers.  I glued that up there to.  I then took a piece of patterned paper and cut out some butterflies with my EK success punch.  After adhering them I added a small bronze pearl to each of them.
I truly had fun making this even though it took much longer than I planned.  Plus the wonderful time that it drew me into spending in God's Word.  I love this verse!  The flowers are for the words of my mouth....Stop and smell the flowers.  When we consider our words, we need to be slow and thoughtful about what we say.  "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak..." -James 1:19  The butterflies are the meditations of my heart.  May they be soft and beautiful to the Lord.  "My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding." - Psalm 49:3  Then for the HOPE tag, is the hope that we have when we've placed our faith and trust in Christ Jesus the Lord for our salvation and strength for each day.  " And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."-Romans 5:5  "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13
Here are some extra pictures for you to see.  I am sharing this with Word Art Wednesday this week.  They are a wonderful encouragement to me and I encourage you to go and visit them.

With Spring comes Brightness!

Hello Friends! With Spring comes brightness and colour! I can't wait!
Today I have a card to share with you using a very sweet image by Faith at From the Heart Stamps.  This one is called Bunny Hello (HERE!) and I've coloured it up with pencil crayons.  The wonderfully bright papers are from Recollections and I used this wonderful sketch from the i {heart} sketches challenge at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}. I turned the sketch, just because I thought it looked better this way this time.  This image comes with a sweet sentiment, but alas, it didn't fit in with the sketch for me so I borrowed a sentiment from one of Faith's other new sets called Ali with bird and basket.  Do check that out HERE! So cute! Then of course a touch of lace :)

We'd love for you to join our sketch challenge at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart} and pop over to the From the Heart Store to see the oh so cute new images released this month!

*Forever*

Hello Friends! Today I'd like to invite you to join us at Card Crafter's Circle for our vintage challenge.  This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Floppy Lattes Designs and the prize is a $6 gift certificate for their store!

For my card I have been given this wonderful silhouette image called Summer Party.  I've coloured her hat and cut her out with my oval cutter and then layered it over some cardstock with an edge cut with my decorative scissors.  As a final touch I covered it with my crystal glaze accent glue to create a type of cameo feel.  I placed this over some wonderful papers by K& Company and added a strip of crocheted lace and ribbon.  The tag-forever is from the paper pad and then I added three crocheted flowers with buttons to finish it all off.
I used the word forever since, the wonderful vintage looks that we enjoy seem to hang in time and those dear to us...well, they are forever in our hearts!
I've also finished up the inside with some more of these lovely papers and a free sentiment from Sharon at A Piece of Heart blog.  Do pop over to see her wonderful creations!

Do you love vintage? Or would you love to have a go at it? We'd love to see what you create! Come join us at the Card Crafter's Circle!

Birthday's are all about CAKE!

I dont' know about you, but the older I get, the more birthdays are just about the cake! Today I have this wonderful Happy Birthday Cake to share with you from From the Heart Stamps (actually it's still in the Designed 2 Delight store until Faith's complete transition to her new store.)  I have chosen to use some bright happy papers from my stash, embossed the circular panel with swiss dots and tied a bit of transparent ribbon to the focal panel.  All of this is following the wonderful sketch that Faith has given us as a challenge at Delightful Inspiration {from the heart}!  As you can see, I modified one little detail with where I placed the ribbon instead of adding it underneath.

Do come join in the fun with the i {heart} sketches challenge!
