I don't know what got into my head today, but I just wasn't interested in making a card today, so I thought I'd try to decorate a frame. I actually have been starting to put up more scripture around the house (Other than our memory verse board) and I just love the scripture word art that Karen makes and shares on her blog Papercraft Memories.
I just love this verse because it puts me in the right perspective first thing in the morning. My prayer is that I keep my focus on the Lord Jesus Christ from morning to night!
For my project I printed out this word art and it took me a couple of tries to get it just the right size. Then after popping it in the frame (an Ikea one found at a garage sale) I thought the colour of the frame complimented the colour in the rose so I chose not to cover it up too much. I glued on a swatch of lace and some flowers (a gift from a friend) and a couple of small lace ribbons. I then went rummaging through my collection of "stuff" and pulled out this great little "love" plate and stuck it to the frame as well. At this point I felt that if I added anything else it would be too much. I now have this in my livingroom.
I'm sharing this over at Word Art Wednesday, a wonderful place of encouragement.

This is just beautiful, Jennifer. I love the idea of surrounding the home with framed scripture. Your children, as well as you, will dwell on what they see around them. Great idea.
This post made me think of something our pastor shared. He was talking about people telling him that they feel guilty when they start praying, and then get tired and fall asleep during prayer. Pastor said that it's quite alright to fall asleep praying because when we fall asleep in prayer, we remain in a spirit of prayer in our sleep, and will sleep better, dream better, and wake up with our minds fixed on the Lord. It sure made me feel better. I love the idea of surrounding my world with His precious Word, which we can NEVER get enough of.
THanks for sharing this. It turned out just beautiful.
Thanks for sharing it with us at Word Art Wednesday. You are always a blessing and encouragement to me.

Jennifer it's a beautiful frame, I have several pieces in my home withe scripture or references to scripture. From antique pieces, cross stitch pieces to a vintage plaster of Paris plaque I had received as a child at Sunday school.
