Sacrifice of Praise

Hi, it's time for another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday and this weeks word art is Hebrews 13:15.
When I read this verse I think of all the times that I remind my children (and myself) that what comes out of our mouths should be pleasing to the Lord, at all times.  Whenever I think of grumbling I start to count my blessings and the grumbles go away for I have much to praise the Lord Jesus for!

For my card today I've printed the passage and matted it to some cardstock from the Paper Company.  I used some decorative scissors to add a delicate edge to it and then popped it up over the panels that I created using paper from DCWV.  All the edges were inked with some lovely purple ink from Pretty Color.  Then I threaded the ribbons through and knotted them at the top.  The rhinestones are from Forever In Time and the butterflies are from Inkadinkado stamped with the same purple ink.  Then I coloured them with my Crayola watercolor markers.  Yes, they had the colours I wanted!  All this I matted to my cardstock base.

This is my last week as Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesdays and I've really enjoyed the time!  I find it such a blessing to share God's Word with all of you through my creations. Do pop over to the Word Art Wednesday blog and see what's new there! We'd love to see your encouraging/scripture creations!

Beautiful! Love the decorative inked edges that frame out the Scripture verse. Your embellishments are a lovely touch, too, especially love your butterflies.

So very pretty Jennifer. :-) A lovely frame for the scripture. It's a shame that more people don't stop and think before they speak or even practice the old adage "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". The world would be a much nicer place. :-) Hugs!

Jennifer: Thanks so much for sharing this month with us at Word Art Wednesday and for glorifying God through your art using His precious Word. Your love and commitment to Him shine through your art. I am so blessed to have had this opportunity to bond with you as my sister in Christ Jesus. I will always be here for you. Thanks for blessing me through your Guest Design spot, and please keep sharing your art with us at WAW.
Blessings,
Karen L
