Just Super!

Hello Friends! Just a tad bit on the late side posting this card for you.  Challenge ends on Monday.
This card is for the wonderful freebie of the month challenge by From the Heart Stamps.   This month we were given this fantastic super hero! :)  I've just done up a simple card with some fun ribbon treatment to help him soar.  I did a bit of an oops with his cape, so I made a shadow. :)
My super hero is the Lord Jesus Christ who created all things and paid the price for all my sin.  Has he saved you?
Do pop over to the From the Heart Stamps blog and see all the fabulous things going on over there!
Have a super terrific day! :)

Stand Fast

Hello Friends!  I have a new card to share with you that I've created for the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  Do come join us, the word art is free and the challenge is always anything goes!
This verse is amazing in that once you are set free from your sin, through the Lord Jesus then you are made free from the law of sin and death.
The context of this passage is to the Galatians who were struggling with going back to the observance of the Old Testament laws and commandments.  Christ Jesus has made a New Testament/ Covenant through His blood, and we are no longer under the law (any part of it!)  It is spoken of as the schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but not to be kept to gain any merit or favour with the Lord. Also not to be kept because we are saved.
Yes we are told in the New Testament what we should do as Christians - followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, but it does not include the laws given to the people of Israel.  It's so important to be clear on this because otherwise we can be led away from Christ and our righteousness through him to seeking to do righteousness in the flesh. Jesus paid it ALL for salvation and now we seek to live for him by following his commandments in the New Testament.  The old has gone and the new has come, let us rest in Christ alone!
Praying you have a beautiful day!

For My Father-In-Law

I would like to share with you a card that I made for my father-in-law that I forgot to post earlier.  I used some simple My Mind's Eye paper with some burlap fabric.  I printed off this wonderful image from Shoregirl Creations inked the edges a bit more and then added the sentiment I printed off the computer and some buttons.
A simple card for a wonderful man that we love very much!

Ye Shall Know the Truth

Good Morning! It's Wednesday, and another card for Word Art Wednesday to share with you!

I love this verse, because it speaks of the Lord Jesus!  SO many people quote this verse out of context and twist it to mean other things. When you read the entire context you see that the TRUTH is the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6 " Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.").  It is HE that makes us free, from sin and death.  John 8: 36 " If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - Romans 10:9-10
Have you believed and be set free?

A Happy Father's Day

Hello! Today I have a card to share with you that my daughter made for Fathers' Day from all the kids. I love how she arranged it and the colours she chose.
She's sharing this with Word Art Wednesday this week!

Dad got a wonderful peanut butter chocolate pie for a treat and then homemade chicken fettuchini for supper.

I also made something for Father's Day for my husband.  Something that displays pics of the kids.  They are all attached by magnets to the screen so they move and can be changed out as the kids get older, or whatever.
I had found this great older chair that was broken so I just sawed off the back.  I sanded it down a bit and then decided to try my own crackle paint.  So easy, you just put on regular white glue and then paint on some craft paint before the other dries and then as it dries together, the paint cracks and you end up with this great effect.  I wanted big cracks so I used my fingers to paint with. :) After that I put a coat of modge podge to seal it all.  Then I stapled on some screen to the back and added some little eyelet screws to the bottom section and tied some twine between them I attached the pictures and the centre flower to a magnet, then put them against the screen with another magnet behind ( the screen wasn't enough metal to hold them).  Then I added the happy father's day words with small clothespins.  Very simple, but he liked it. Made me happy!

This first pic is a bit clearer, but the one below shows the colour a bit better.

None Upon The Earth

Hi Crafty Friends! Today I have another Word Art Wednesday card to share with you! The word art is free on the blog HERE! feel free to use it or not.  The thing I love about this challenge is that it is always anything goes!
What an amazing God is he, that created the universe and all that's in it, and then gave himself as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sin.
For the card, I chose some Momenta paper along with a simple crocheted ribbon and some seam binding (that I love!).  I chose to highlight the blue in the butterfly with the mattings.
Thank you for dropping by, and do pop over to the challenge and see all the wonderful inspiration that is to be had, from DT members and entrants alike!

The Crown of Old Men

Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I have a card to share with you that I've created for the Word Art Wednesday challenge where I'm guest designing for the month of June.  Do come join us!
This scripture passage is wonderful and brings to mind how children are a blessing not a burden.  How wonderful it is to have fathers who can look back at their children and grand-children and see how the Lord has blessed!  May children always give pause to consider the blessing that fathers are in return. To see the time and care that have been shown them by their fathers.
Even though I live far from my father, I cherish all the times that I spend with him.  One of my favourite memories of my father is when he would take me for walks through the forest with him.
When I see my husband spending time with my children it swells my heart! How he learns and encourages their interests and capabilities.  How he show the girls what a real man is to be, and the boys how to be a man.  I feel so blessed!
Praying you have a beautiful day!
