For the Fellas!

Have you ever tried to separate a man from his food?  I personally wouldn't chance it.  Today is the beginning of a new challenge at Card Crafter's Circle, and it's for the fellas!
I've chosen this great squirrel and sentiment from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.  I've coloured it up with my pencil crayons and added to some wonderful digi papers that I got free at Papercraft Inspirations. I've added some ribbon and bronze pearls as well as a touch of inking around the papers.

We'd love to see your fella's cards and if you need a bit more inspiration, there are fabulous cards by the design team at the Card Crafter's Circle Blog!
This week we have two wonderful sponsors: Di's Digi Downloads

and Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.

Hope to see you join us! Have a wonderful day!

Sunny Thank You

Hello everyone, I have a thank you card that I've made to show you.  I used a new image from Designed 2 Delights August release called Sunflowers and Pumpkins.  It can be found in the D2D store  HERE!  I coloured it up with my prismas and then inked the edges a bit.  I layered it over some great papers that I found at the Dollar Store and did a bit of distressing.  With a bit of orange ribbon from So Facile and some buttons from my stash I'm finished.  I like making cards just because and this sunny picture was calling my name!
Have a great day!

Willow in the Rain

Hi! Thanks for popping by! Today I have a card that I've created for the For Fun Challenge - rain.  A long time ago a friend gave me this hand stamped image and I just found it going through my misc images that I save.   I often print out things or stamp a bunch of something and don't get to using them right away.   So......with that said here is Willow in the rain.  I love seeing little girls with outfits that match their umbrellas so I coloured her to match as well.  I used crayola markers for her.  Yes, you read it right, crayola!  I dream of the day when I have copics, but these have to do until then. I wanted a bit more vivid colour than I can get with my pencil crayons.  I paired it with some great K& Company papers and some misc ribbon to separate the panels.  The sentiment is Heidi Grace and the rhinestones are Forever in Time.
We've had soooooo much rain here in the Yukon this summer that I felt I just had to play along! hehehe
Oh and just for fun to I have some blog candy up for grabs HERE!

The Craft Barn Candy!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share this fantastic candy from the Craft Barn.  I just discovered their site and they have tons of interesting things they share! Go have a look around! The candy is open until September 9th.

The Lord is My Helper!

Many times I have found myself in a fearful position.  Like when I got married, and when I first became a parent, and when I first started homeschooling.  Just to name a few.  Then there is my daughter becoming a teenager! Ahhh!  I am so thankful that I have the Lord to turn to!
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."-Philippians 4:13
How can I be afraid when I have Him with me, leading and guiding and giving me strength.
Do you know the strength that only the Lord Jesus can give?  It truly is uncomparable!

For this card I've used some free word art from Dee's Boutique and postcard art from Shoregirl's Creations.    I have layered these over some beautiful paper from K & Company, then I added some lace and ribbon.  For finishing touches I added some flowers and buttons, and two little ribbon tags in the upper right corner from little bits left over from trimming the bow.
I'm sharing this card over at Word Art Wednesday- scripture/encouragement

Thank you very much for dropping by!

Fabulous Fabric!

Hello! I  have a card to share with you today that is for our challenge at Card Crafter's Circle this week. It's about using fabric on your creation.  I have never sewed on my cards and thought that it was high time I tried it.  So......I actually liked it and I love the extra element it adds to the card.
I have used an image from our wonderful sponsor Milk Coffee called Lisabeth with sunflower.

I have coloured her up with pencil crayons and attached her to the fabric with tape and glue.  I put her in a bit of a frame with the buttons and bow.
My girls and I have tons of little bits of fabric from different projects so I think I'll be trying this again!
So, now it's your turn, you don't have to sew your fabric, just add it to your creation whatever way you'd like!
Check out the teams creations for you at Card Crafter's Circle!  We'd love to see what you come up with!

A Strong Hold

Today I have a card that I'd like to share with you, I created for my cousin who I just found out has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  My heart greatly goes out to her as our grandmother and her mother (my Aunt) died of the same cancer.  It is my prayer that she'll hold onto Christ Jesus the Lord and for he has the strength to hold her fast!  Whatever the future holds for her.
I have used a collection of papers from K & Company and word art by Karen from Paper Craft Memories.
I created this card also for the following challenges.
Word Art Wednesday- scripture/encouragement
Stampin' Sisters In Christ- Use only a sentiment/no images
Sentimental Sundays- Banners/Pennants and a bonus sketch(which I turned sideways)

Delightful Hopping!

Today is the August release and Blog Hop for Designed 2 Delight.  Faith has done up some wonderful new images and I'll be sharing those with you in the next couple of weeks.  But for today, I have chosen some wonderful images from her store to celebrate the coming of school and fall.  Plus winter is coming......it won't be too long especially for me up in the Yukon.  It's already been down low enough for frost and my potatoes are starting to yellow.  My kids and I picked a bunch of peas/ beans and carrots today and they were snitching a few raspberries that have ripened.
School is starting next week for most kids and my kids will be starting their lessons after Labour Day weekend and my birthday!  Lots of fun.
Anyhow.....I've gone off on a tangent.  Today I have some cards to share with you that feature some images that are perfect for the coming seasons.  Above is School Maisie Belle and she can be found at the Designed 2 Delight store HERE!

For this next card I've used the Apple a Day Set and it can be found HERE!  I love apples and apple pie is wonderful....especially for breakfast with a slice of cheddar cheese! YUM! Then for the inside I've chosen another image to match called Two Apples, found HERE!

Now for some cooler cards!
This ones a bit frost and I always think of cardinals being red since this is one of my grandfather's favourite birds.  I used some great paper from K & Company and a background stamp from Hero Arts to add the frosty wind behind these fabulous Whimsical Cardinals by Faith at Designed 2 Delight. It can be found HERE!
Then for a final chill here is Stitched Snowman and it can be found HERE!
Now for all the new images they can be found in the Designed 2 Delight Shop. You'll want to check them out!

Thanks so much for blog hoppin' with D2D! Remember, all New Release Digital Stamps will be on SALE until August 23. Details HERE.

Sketch For You!

Hello! Today I have another wonderful sketch card to share with you as today is the beginning of another Seems A Little Sketchy challenge # 20.

I have chosen some images form the sponsor set from My Grafico called Woodland Animals.  I love foxes, and we have a few that like to come snooping around our yard often and leaving food buried behind the flowers and raspberry bushes.
I have coloured them up with my pencil crayons and fussy cut them.  I used some great papers from ATD Momenta and some Stampin' Up ribbon.  To finish it off I've used some rhinestones and a clear sentiment stamp by Tina Wenke.
Now here is the sketch:
It's super fun and easy so we'd love to see you create with it! Do hop over to the Seems A Little Sketchy blog for some more great inspiration.

Just A Note!

I have a new challenge for you today! It's from Card Crafter's Circle and it's to use rich earthy colours.  We are being sponsored by the wonderful Digi Garden!

I am using the Casual Joe image and coloured him with my pencil crayons.  For my card I've used some textured brown paper, some DP from Make it special and layered some burlap overtop.  I love the little "oops" in the fabric by Joe's shoulder.  To the burlap I attached some ribbon with screw brads and a couple tickets from Graphics Fairy stamped with sentiments by Stampin' Up, these I stapled on.  Then for the finishing touch, I added this handsome young boy!
What does rich and earthy mean to you?  We'd love for you to share it with us at Card Crafter's Circle this week! If you'd like ideas or just to see some great inspiration head on over to the blog to see how the design team interprets the challenge.
See you there!

My Man's Birthday!

Hi, I'd just like to share a card that I've created for my husbands birthday today!
For this card i've combined some great free images from Shoregirl's Creations and Free Vintage Digital Stamps.  Then I stamped the other sentiment from Tima Wenke over the map section.  Because my husband loves the colour blue so I added the blue cardstock and bow along with some bronze pearls.
I love the script that Esther created, it's the definition of classic!
Thanks so much for popping in to see me! Enjoy your day!
Oh and do scroll down for my other post today, it has links to some wonderful digital goodness!

I absolutely love the colour in this kit (even though my printer prints is off a bit different than seen on the screen) with all the wonderful elements and can see myself using it a lot!  Thanks so much Hannah for your generosity!

My Baby is Three!

Hi, just sharing a card that I made for my little boys birthday today.  It's so hard to believe that my baby is three!  The all grow up so quickly!
I've used the adorable birdbrain balloon from Designed 2 Delight and coloured it with my pencil crayons.  I used a new embossing folder for the yellow panel and some fun green plaid ribbon.  the sentiment is from Lil' Inkers and the patterned paper is from my stash along with the little metal clip and rhinestones.  Oh and the three in the balloon I stamped with a set that was given to me so I don't have any idea where they were from.
Well, he's all full of cake and pizza now and is playing with his new hot wheels case full of some new and well loved cars!
I'd like to share this card over at The Stamping Boutique - Balloons challenge.
Thanks for popping by! Have a great weekend!

Welcome to the World!

How incredible it is to welcome a new little life into the world! I have had the blessing to have four precious new souls and I joy in news of others.  What a precious gift from God they are!
Today I have a card that I've created for the Baby challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle!
For my card I've used an image from our sponsor this week.  A precious pre-coloured image by Pink Gem Designs called Moon Baby (I did add a touch more yellow to the stars).

I cut it out with my Creative Memories circle cutting tool and layered it on some cardstock from The Paper Company.  I placed him over some fluffy feather paper and patterned paper from DCWV and the embossed (Cuttlebug- Baby's Breath) card base.  The wonderful sentiment is from Dee's Designs and the star flourish is from Forever in Time.
Now is your turn! We'd love to have you share with us your baby cards at Card Crafter's Circle! If you hop on over to the challenge blog, you can see the other incredible creations from the Design Team.
Have a wonderful day, and joy in the gift of new life!
This week during our family Bible time we've been talking about the second birth.  The one that happens when one believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and is saved.  How precious that is! Then that individual is just as new and precious in the faith as a newborn baby of flesh is in the world.  For each I pray that they may grow and flourish.  Each day I marvel as the Lord Jesus is teaching my girls and watching them grow in their faith is such a joy!  I continue to pray for my boys that they to may have a new birth.
Love and Prayers,
Jennifer

I am so excited to share this card with you that I've made for the first challenge back! I'm blessed to be a Guest Designer for this week.  It's Birthday Time!
For my card, I've used a brand new stamp set from Stampin' Up that I won in Vicki's candy from Stamped Smiles!  I just love this set and had fun inking it up!  I stamped it on some paper from Momenta added some colour to the flames and layered it over some other great papers from the same pad set.  With a bit of inking and lace and pearls I'm almost finished.  To finish it off, I added a birthday tag under the popped up centerpiece.  I used a birthday sentiment that was free online and some satiny ribbons.

More Shaped Cards

Hello, I have another card to share with you to inspire you to join us at the Card Crafter's Circle- Bend Me Shape Me challenge.

For my second card , I created a flower card freehand and used some fun Stampin' Up DP that's been distressed just a bit (Most flowers my children bring me are a bit distressed to!) and then I added some faux stitching and inking.  For the front I used one of my favourite images by

Mel Jen's our second Sponsor called girl in overalls.  This I popped up over some layers of fun ribbon from the Dollar Store.  For the inside I used a circle digi stamp that I got free, but cannot remember where, sorry.

Then just for fun I made this tree card, but I thought it didn't do our sponsor justice with the image being so small.  So, here it is just for fun.

Well, I hope I've inspired you to join us.  The challenge runs all the way to Friday Australia Time (Check the challenge blog for details for time zones) We'd love to see what you come up with! Just pop over to Card Crafter's Circle for all the details and to see the other fabulous inspiration from the design team!

Want to play in the sand with me?

Do you love to play in the sand?  I do, and even dirt will do.  I love to share in my kids building in their dirt box (I don't have a sand box, but our yard has a section of gravely dirt that I sectioned off for them to dig.  That way they don't play in the garden space.  I love to join them getting dirty!

This card I have to share with you is for the Seems A Little Sketchy challenge beginning today!  It's to use this fantastic sketch.

This week we are also being sponsored by Stamping Dragons, so if you like cute dragons (plus more) you'll want to join us so you can win some great free digis!

What kind of Fruit do you have?

My family has been learning about this kind of fruit.  How each of these kinds of fruit are seen in our lives as we follow after Christ Jesus the Lord.  May we continue to seek after this fruit that glorifies our Lord!
I have created this card for Word Art Wednesday's challenge this week.  And I have used a scripture word art I got free from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique a while back and a wonderful postcard image from Esther at Shoregirl's Creations.  I've layered these over some wonderful paper from Momenta an added some lace and ribbon and buttons from my stash.  A little bit of inking and some faux stitching to finish it off.
Do check out Word Art Wednesday for some wonderful encouragement and inspiration!

16 Years

Yesterday was my 16th wedding anniversary and my husband bought me this incredible vase of flowers (blue and white- our wedding colours) and I made this card for him.  He took me out to dinner and we enjoyed a walk along the Yukon river until we got rained out.  Then he bought me ice cream and we went to a quaint little bookstore for a peek around.  All in all, it was so nice to just spend time just the two of us!
I am so blessed and I look forward to many more years with my wonderful man!  We chose a life verse when we became engaged -Psalm 62:6 " He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved."  We have built upon the ROCK and it has held us fast through many trials and struggles.  The Lord has blessed us with great love and companionship.  I was totally right when I said yes to this man!

What Shape are You?

Hi! No I'm not talking about you personally.  I'm an hourglass, a big one.....but you don't really need to know that!   No, this week at Card Crafter's Circle we would love to see your shaped cards! No regular rectangles or squares.  Here's my effort.

This one is a sweet image that I used for the actual card shape and it's from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne: called Kingdom kids w/sentiment.
I paper pieced the heart and coloured the rest with pencil crayons.  We also have a second sponsor again this week. MelJen's Designs

so..... Yes, we have double prizes again! Yeah!

Well, I hope I've inspired you to join us.  We'd love to see what you come up with! Just pop over to Card Crafter's Circle for all the details and to see the other fabulous inspiration from the design team!
