I Made Butter!

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share with you my first attempt at making butter since I was a little girl.  I put some whipping cream in my electric mixer and let it go.  It didn't take very long, and just before it separated it started to splatter buttermilk around! :)

I squeezed as much of the liquid out of the butter as I could with a spoon....I'll have to learn how to do that better since I'm sure this is something I'll be doing again!

We'll be eating some for lunch with our sandwiches and then for snack with some fresh banana oatmeal muffins. :)  Love homemade things!
Hope you're enjoying your day!

Elegant Birthday

Hello! I have a card to share with you all that my daughter created for her best friend's birthday.
I thought it turned out so beautifully elegant!
I just love that she enjoys creating cards like I do!  I have a feeling that the craft cubby is going to have to expand so that there will be room for more than just me playing there. :)

She is sharing this with Word Art Wednesday.

Snuggles for a Little One

Happy Beautiful Day to all my crafty friends!
Today I have a blanket set that I made for a friend.  I tried a new stitch called a Moss Stitch for the inside and then a new type of scallop for the outside.  Then I made these cute little booties that have a top that wraps around a bit and buttons.  Reminds me of little Uggs.  Then I made this tiny hat and with a sweet little buttoned flower to go with it.  It is always fun to try new things and come out with something sweet for another to enjoy!
Here are some more closer pics. :)
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Heart

Hello! It's a happy beautiful sunny day here and I just wanted to share with you a card that I've made with the From the Heart Stamps freebie image challenge digi called Whimsy Garden Fence.  It was so cute and I wanted to use some bright colours with it.  I coloured with my new spectrum noir markers and then used a couple crayola ones for the banner and fence since I didn't have the right colour with the SN.  I used some paper scraps (the blue one I embossed with swiss dots) and an edge for the image created with decorative scissors.
It's a wonderful challenge and when you play you get the next months image free! I love Faith's images, so this is a great way to get to play with them!  Check out the challenge HERE!
Have a beautiful day and I hope your heart is happy today!

Far Above Rubies

Hello! Today my daughter has a card to share with you that she made for me for Mother's Day.  She snuck into my craft cubby and made this all herself and it's so precious to me!  That she chose this verse out of all the digis she could  have picked really touched me!
Praying that each day the Lord gives me strength to continue to raise my girls to be like Christ Jesus the Lord.
Praying you have a blessed day to!

Sharing this with Word Art Wednesday this week!

The Granny Squares Touch

Hello Friends! I just wanted to share with you a crocheted afghan that I just finished today.  I've been working on it for a long time putting together odds and ends.  It didn't turn out like I thought it would but it's super warm and snuggly!  I always wanted to do a blanket like this and now I have. :)
I just think that there is something extra special about things that are homemade.  Have you made anything homemade lately that is non-card?

Thanks for dropping by! Have a great week!

A Couple Birthday Cards

Hello Friends! I sure have missed all of you and creating with you!  Today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I've created for my children for their birthdays this week.  The first one above was for my little "6" year old boy.  I used the wonderful dump truck image by Scribbles by Sandy and a misc sentiment I found in my stash.  I used this cool embossing folder for the background and some wonderful navy slightly embossed polka dot paper underneath.
Next is the card that I made for my "15" year old daughter.  I used a bunch of things, just to play around a bit.  I used this wonderful sun rays embossing folder and some crocheted flowers.  Then I used a butterfly punch and added some lace and pearls.  For the inside I used a few stamps and then added a touch of colour to the greenery and some green dots to finish it off.  Then I thought while I had my ink out, I'd just stamp on a sentiment on the inside.  So there you have it.  I had lots of fun and they both loved their cards. I'm a happy Mommy!

I'm sharing this second card with Word Art Wednesday.
Thank you so much for dropping by! Have a beautiful day!
