Vintage Girly

Today I have a card to share with you that has a vintage feel to it.  It is created for the challenge over at Card Crafter's Circle and the theme this week is ........yes, Vintage.
For my card I've used an image from our sponsor - Whoopsie Daisy and isn't she sweet?

I've coloured her with a combo of pencil crayons and markers.  Then for my layers of paper, I've used a sweet combo from K& Company.  I cut out a slice of a doily and inked it with pink and Tim Holtz bundled sage distress.  I added a touch of distressing to each layer and then a bow and flower and pearls.  Wow those old dresses used to be so ornate and frilly! Sure makes a girl, "girly".
Hope you're having a wonderful day! Do drop by the Card Crafter's Circle to see all the wonderful creations from the design team!
Oh and here's a pic of the inside.  Not fancy, but I added the sentiment there instead of on the front.

Just For You!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! Today I have a card to share with you that I made just because I'm so thankful for all the many people that choose to come visit me! So, this is a fall card for you!
I used an image from the September release by Designed 2 Delight. It's called Autumn Flower Jar and you can find it in the store HERE! I coloured it up with my pencil crayons and added it to some paper from DCWV and some feather paper.  The ribbon is from my collection and so is the little metal clip.

Life Is So Much Sweeter....

What would life be like if there were no ribbons or roses?  Not as nice I'd dare to say! Today is a new challenge over at the Card Crafter's Circle and we'd love to see your ribbons and roses!
For my card, I've used one of our sponsors images and I just love the welcoming look it gives this door.
Our sponsor this week is Happileigh Scrappin Designs.
Now I don't own a template for a door.  So I made my own from corrigated board and lined it with some screen mesh.  For my ribbon I just added a little bow to the top of the door, not to take away from the ribbon in the basket.
How wonderful and welcoming it would be to see a basket of roses on your door!  With this screen door, the scent of them could filter into the house!
Now as you can see, the door has a view and this is what is inside.
I added some ribbon around the door, to hide my work marks! Then I added the white panel with a rose flourish from Inkadinkado and the sentiment from TinaWenke.
I hope I've inspired you to play along with us at Card Crafter's Circle!  Do go see the wonderful inspiration from the ladies, make me want to go out and buy some roses, just to smell them!

Delightful September Release

Hello! Today we have a wonderful blog hop for you to share the wonderful new images that Faith at Designed 2 Delight has created!  At the bottom of the post are the links to all the hops, due to the range of time zones we have, there is no particular order, so pick your own pattern!
Now for the cards that I've created.  I've chosen to use Pumpkins and Cat and have coloured it up with pencil crayons.  The sentiment is from the Fall Mailbox set released last month and can be found HERE.  My papers are from DCWV and the Dollar Store. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up and buttons are from my collection.
My next one is done using the wonderful new winter image Moonlight Snowman.  I have coloured with pencil crayons accept for the nose, smile and heart and I used fiskars markers.  I added some bright yellow feather paper under the image and a foam snowflake and bright red ribbon.  The ticket I used is from Digi Doodle Stamps.  The background paper is from K & Company and I actually embossed it with my snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug).  The second picture will show it a bit better.
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks so much for blog hoppin' with D2D! Remember, all New Release Digital Stamps will be on SALE until Sept 23. Details HERE.

Nursing Aspirations

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share this card with you that I've made for a young lady who's going to be studying nursing this fall.  She's a single mother who just graduated from high school this last spring.  She's a wonderful young lady and great mom who wants to secure a good career so she can care for her son.
I chose this image from Dearie Dolls just because it is so fun!  I also added a repair tag from Shoregirl's Creations.
Have a great day! Thanks for dropping by!

He First Loved Us!

How wonderful it is to know that God loved us and sent His son to be our Saviour!  How could I not love him who did so much for me.  I am thankful each day that the Lord Jesus Christ has forgiven me and placed me in His family!
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:12-13
For my card today, I used the word art from Word Art Wednesday and inked the edges a bit. This I layered with the butter coloured textured paper that I used for the base and added a touch of distressing.   This i added to the butterfly panel with the ribbons tied around it.  Then with a touch of distressing to the edges and some bronze pearls I attached this to the card base.  Simple.
Thanks so much for dropping by! Praying you to know the joy that comes with knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and being apart of His family.
I'm linking this to Word Art Wednesday this week.  I'm also linking this to a new challenge blog called Twist of Faith and it's first challenge- Joy.  If you haven't seen them yet, I encourage you to check them out HERE!

Do You Love Cherries?

I love cherries, do you?  Today begins a new challenge over at the Card Crafter's Circle.  It's Sweet as cherry pie!
For my card, I've chosen an image from Bugaboo stamps called WO Birthday Boy!  I have so many girl birthday cards, I need to put together some for boys.  I've coloured him up and added some yummy 'snow frosting' to his cupcake!  I've set him on some great papers that I had in my stash and added some little ribbon tabs attached with polka dot brads.  The sentiment is from Lil' Inkers and I used my swiss dots embossing folder with a bit of inking for the panel under it.
Now Bugaboo Stamps is our fabulous sponsor this week and the winner gets an amazing 7 digis!

Do you want to play? We'd love to see what you come up with and there is some great inspiration at the Card Crafter's Circle so do check it out!

Love Learning

Hello Everyone! Today I have some cards to share with you that I made for my girls and an 'adopted' niece.  I love to give them lots of encouragement as they start out a new year of lessons.  There are so many things that we will learn in our lifetimes, but the most important thing is to love learning and not despise instruction -especially in righteousness.  For our home, the scriptures are woven through all our subjects and it is my prayer that this will continue through all things they'll learn in the future.
So here are the cards that I've made for this year.  I have chosen some adorable pre-coloured images from Mary Ellen's Dearie Dolls.  The sentiment is from a Heidi Grace clear stamp set.

May each new day bring us into a better understanding of who God is and who we are.  May each day be spent for the Glory of God in all we say and do and learn!

Happy Birthday Pauline!

Happy Birthday Pauline!
Today I have a card that I've made in honour of my dear friend Pauline from My Paper Playground.  I have used an image and sentiment from Designed 2 Delight and they can be found HERE and HERE.  Since I can't send you to a warm place to enjoy your day, I'm sending you warm hugs and encourage you to enjoy the simple things in life!
For my card I also used a new background stamp I received as a gift and it's from Hero Arts - love it!  For the sand I just tore some brown paper and I attached a sandal's charm to some homemade bakers's twine I made.  The top of the tree and the life word are popped up with dots as well.
If you have a chance, do pop over and give her some Birthday Love!  HERE

Blue Peacocks and a Sketch

Hello, are you ready for a new challenge from Seems a Little Sketchy?  Well here we go,
For my card I've used one of our sponsor images from My Heart Pieces and coloured it up with my prismas.  My husband informed me when I showed him my finished cards that peacocks are really green and not blue.....please forgive me!
I put this image over some embossed cardstock (Victoria folder- Cuttlebug) and a stamped section done with Inkadinkado flower flourish and Pretty Color Ink.  I added some lace from my collection and ribbon from Stampin' Up along with some great flowers, a tiny bow from my collection and some rhinestones from Forever In Time.
I'm thinking of sending it to my parents for their anniversary?  I left off a sentiment because I'm not sure yet who will receive it.
Have a great day and do join us at Seems A Little Sketchy! It's for two weeks so lots of time to play along!
