Hello!
How are you today?
I am enjoying these peaceful days at home.
In truth...I'm always home as this is where I always spend my days.
Being a homemaker is a blessing, even during this time.
The starter plants are growing nicely.
The tomatoes are flowering and there will soon be little tomatoes growing.
The sunflowers, marigolds and geraniums are blooming
so much and they cheer me as it's still a bit dreary outdoors.
We had a big hailstorm today.
There are some ducks that are coming back.
Then there are now robins and swans as well.
Oh, and my daughter identified this sweet little song bird we've been hearing.
It's a Ruby Crowned Kinglet.
Such a beautiful song!
Spring Cleaning is beginning.
Time to get into those corners.
I like to have these homemade wipes available most of the time.
It helps to get those icky jobs done faster.
One day I hope to go paperless...but for now I use the Bounty paper towels.
I add 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol and a couple squirts of dish soap
then fill up the one container with water.
I make two containers at a time usually.
Then I just take the paper towels (the small strip ones).
Fold the strips and stick them in the buckets.
I bought this yogurt specifically to use the buckets. :)
They work perfectly...and the yogurt was good to.
It's my older son's birthday today.
My younger daughter set out this indoor puzzle hunt for the boys.
It was just something I came across on Pinterest.
They went searching all through the house,
and at the end they got a "prize" that my daughter made for them.
How are your days going?
Love and Prayers,
Jennifer

I'm being thinking of making my own wipes (with paper towels) so thanks for the "recipe"!
Happy Birthday to your son!
How do you have sunflowers and tomatoes blooming!!?? We haven't even had lilacs or peonies yet. In the woods there are plenty of Virginia Blue Bells and Red Trillium, though. You sure know how to grow plants indoors. Sunflowers make me smile, thanks for the picture! :)
Your sunflowers are beautiful!
Spring cleaning always feels like a nice accomplishment that helps the house be more fresh. I have tried cloth wipes, and my favorite was "birdseye" cloth, that was very absorbent. I made some with flannel, and was not very happy with them when it came to cleaning...they do work good as Kleenex replacement, though. The flannel ones just are not very absorbent when it comes to cleaning up water spills and things like that. That was my experience, anyway. :)
The treasure hunt sounded special for your son's birthday! I used to make those a lot for my younger siblings...and still occasionally now for my nieces and nephews.
By the way, I would be quite interested if you could ever possibly do a post sharing some of your tips for growing plants indoors! :) I am just amazed at how healthy your plants look.
Like you, my happiest place is just being home! I love your idea for rubbing alcohol wipes. I need to make some of those. Your plants are blooming already? Wow! You really are anticipating a great garden season, and I know that is a huge blessing! I love the treasure hunt game your daughter came up with for your birthday-celebrating son! Wish him a happy birthday for me :) Many blessings to all of you!
I'm stealing your idea for the cleaning wipes! I started spring cleaning this past week and I'm LOVING it, but I'm procrastinating on cleaning the window frames but I know if I can use those wipes it will make the job a little less unappealing to me. :) Plus it will be nice to keep a tub of those on hand for quick clean ups and wipe downs. Thanks for sharing that idea!
Idaho is slowly beginning to open back up as is Washington. But it's still going to be a while before things are back to "normal".
Spring has definitely arrived it sounds like! How sweet to have that scavenger hunt for the birthday boy and I love your idea of the wipes (and that you bought the yogurt for those containers lol!). I planted flower seeds. They all sprouted. Now they are all dying haha. I'm not sure if I should just toss them or try to salvage some and move them out of the egg cartons/shells into small pots. By the time I decide, they'll probably all be dead haha!
