A Quilt for My Son

Hello Everyone! I'm still here.  Our place hasn't sold yet and we've no other prospects....yet.  Spring is full upon us now and the snow is disappearing fast!  I just discovered this week that my delphinium, tulips and shasta daisies are starting to emerge and that makes me smile! I love flowers that come up on their own, just makes my day! :)

I just wanted to share one of the projects that I've been working on.  It took much more than I thought, and it didn't turn out perfect, but it's comfy!  I made it for my son who is turning 6 soon and I hope he likes it.

I've been saving jean material for a couple of years now and finally got to putting it into a quilt.  I have more material and am going to be putting one together for my other little boy as soon as I'm able.

I hope you're all having a beautiful day! :)

Some Spring Cheer!

Hello Friends! Today I have a card to share with you that I was inspired to create.  My craft room is quite cleaned up so there was lots of space to work. :)  I received this wonderful image through the From the Heart Stamps progressive challenge, thank you Faith!  It's called Spring Medley and you can find it HERE!
I used an embossing folder to create the background, and some grass that I found in my stash.  Then I punched out butterflies and flowers, adding rhinestones to them.   I coloured the image with markers and I added a touch of orange to the tulips, like the ones I splurged and bought at the grocery store this week. :)
I hope you are all enjoying the day, and if you are having spring where you're at even better!  I woke up the temps being above freezing so I'm totally delighted!
Have a beautiful day!
I'm sharing this card with From the Heart Stamps and Word Art Wednesday.

Just a Little Hello!

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm just popping in to say hello!  Thing have been quiet around here as far as crafty things going on.  My landlord just put our place up for sale a bit ago and my family is working through the house getting rid of things that aren't needed (we've been here 9 years).  I have hesitated packing up my crafty cubby, but I'm so distracted I've not been knowing what to do when I sit there.
I have been making some crocheted washcloths for a friend's birthday along with making some granny squares out of left over yarn.
I'm also selling off my tomato plants, violets and coleus.  I'll put the rest of my plants in the moving sale when that comes.  The move is most likely a couple of months away, so no panicking.
Spring has come and the temps are climbing just above freezing regularly and the snow is melting! :)  Today our drive was free of ice and snow! Yeah!  now for the two feet of packed snow in the backyard. hehehe
Well, I hope you're all having a beautiful day!  Just wanted to say hello! :)
