Pretty Cup Planter

Hi!  Today I have a sweet little planter that I made out of a damaged cup.  The handle cracked and could no longer be used.  (I'm not great a fixing ceramics)  SO, I had some grape hyacinth bulbs that had started to sprout in my garden shed outside so I bought them in, planted them up and then thought it needed to be dressed up a touch.

I added a piece of burlap and attached it with some hot glue.  Then I added some layers of lace and a sweet blue lacy ribbon to top off the layers.

I had an old chipped bowl/ plate (truthfully I don't know what they're called) and so I set it on that.  Of course it needed to go on a lace doily to. :)  Now it's sitting on my desk by the window and is starting to grow even more.  It'll be a nice touch of colour once the snow begins.  Yes, we're close to the first snow here.

With the cup above, I thought I'd share with you a new tea pot that I got with my birthday money. :)  My old one (the handle broke- so it sits above my stove on a shelf) and I wanted a more functional one.  This sweet blue one caught my eye. ;)

Thank you so much for popping in to see me!  I hope you have a great day! and maybe some tea. :)
