My First Quilt
Hi Again! Yes two posts in one day....I know you're all surprised! I just happened to find the time to finish this quilt that I've been working on. It was simple in that the top was material from a patchwork skirt that I had. I cut it in half and sewed it together to make the length. (and yes, the skirt didn't fit....because I'm aware that that's a lot of material. LOL) Then I added the batting and the backing is actually a sheet curtain that I found at the local recycling free store! * I love finding such cool things! I am not one for precision, but am totally delighted to have made something useful for my family! I used a zig zag stitch to do the inner stitching just because I thought it was prettier that way. Here are a couple more pics for you. One so you can see how big it is against my queen bed, and the other of the backing. Thank you for dropping by! I just printed off some sweet FTHS digis today so I hope to be card making this week at some point! :)
Oh, wow! It's lovely! :) The colors are beautiful too :)
