Hi Everyone, it's midway time for the
Scribbles Designs Challenge for Mothers or a special woman. I'd like to encourage you to join in the fun and pop over to the
Scribbles Challenge blog to see some wonderful inspiration as well! For my part I've created this card using Sandy's wonderful rose image found
HERE at the
Scribbles Designs Store.
I used some wonderful paper from the Dollar Store and some lace I had in my stash. I added some bling and a sentiment from Portafolia. As I was making this card I was thinking of the wonderful legacy that some ladies have left behind them. Legacies of trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and sharing it with others, of caring for their families unselfishly and being true solid friends. These women inspire me to follow in their footsteps as a woman and to follow after the Lord Jesus Christ they followed, learning from Him.
"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." -1 Corinthians 11:1
I would like to share this card with Word Art Wednesday this week and I encourage you to drop by there to.
Have a beautiful day!
So very pretty with the lace and the gems. I like the "soft" color palette. Lovely card!

Your card is just beautiful, Jennifer, as they always are. What a joy for me to know that I have never even met you in person, and yet I have the assurance of knowing that you ARE leaving a legacy behind that truly matters. As a daughter, a wife, a Christian artist, and most of all....as a Mother. You are leaving behind the most important legacy of all - the truth of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ in what He alone did for us on the cross. And I do not doubt that your children, and your children's children will also tell of this blessed legacy. I heard a (non-Christian) quote once that I just love - it goes like this, "A Mother writes on the hearts of her children, things the world will never erase". Those can be good or bad things (it just happens through life's daily process), but I am blessed, and praise God, for sending Godly women into my life who care about the legacy they leave behind. You are a blessing in my life! That's a legacy too! Being an encourager, and a Proverbs 17:17 friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to share with us this week, and God bless your journey this week.

ReplyDeleteHugs,

Such a wonderful card, Jennifer. I love how you inked up the edges around the image. Cool inspiration. While I've had a chance to look around at some of your latest work, unfortunately I won't have the opportunity to leave comments. I hate that I don't have time to catch up properly but just too much on my plate this week. Know that you pop into my mind often.
ReplyDeleteHugs and best wishes for a wonderful week ahead,
Lisa
