I just love to make things for brand new little people! Today I have a card and crocheted blanket to share with you. For my card, I've used an image from From the Heart Stamps called Bedtime for Bear. I've coloured it up with pencil crayons and watercolour markers. I layered it over a lovely doily and papers from my stash. The ripple ribbon is from Stampin' Up and the border is created with my Fiscars punch. The I added some rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.
Now, what little baby doesn't need a soft blanket to snuggle with? So I've crocheted this one to go with the card.
I love this pattern, because it's quite heavy and yet with the holes gives nice airflow on a warm day.
So since I don't know any baby girls being born soon, I'll be tucking this duo away for now.
Thank you for dropping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
This is so sweet! I love the colors and your design with the doily. The blanket is gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and blanket - would you believe I just finished crocheting one just like this for my sweet great granddaughter which will be here in Feb. Love this pattern.

Beautiful blanket!! Nice to tuck away for a future little one. Your card is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful set to have on hand for the next sweet baby girl! Your card is adorable and the blanket looks lovely! :o)
ReplyDeleteToo funny that you've crochet the blanket with no baby in mind; however, both the blanket and the card are lovely. You do beautiful work, so whomever is the lucky recipient will have something to treasure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty blanket and card... This will make someone really happy to receive....
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is going great Jennifer!
Beautiful quilt Jennifer. Love the pretty color. Such a sweet card. The doily and and flower border look great. Darling little image!
ReplyDeleteSweet card and blanket, Jennifer. I always enjoy visiting to see what you're creating!
ReplyDeleteIf you will, I would REALLY REALLY appreciate your prayers for my eldest daugher, Andrea. She's going through a really rough time and just needs to feel the comfort of His Holy Spirit, and to quiet her heart so that she can clearly and specifically hear from Him. I would greatly appreciate it if you would please lift her up in prayer.
Thank you SO MUCH!
Hope all is well with you and your family. Keep in touch.

Beautiful blanket!! You are so talented!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so sweet, too!!
Beautiful!!!! I always give a soft, cuddly, smaller sized baby blanket at showers. Known as Nana Blankies in our family, they are great for in strollers and over car seats and with the new yarns they wash up so easily. A gift that is always cherished.
ReplyDeleteI better get back to the CIS blog Hop I started!
You have a great blog.
