Well, here is another creation of mine, that's not a card.
I just love the seashore, even though I don't live anywhere close to it. A few years ago I received this beautiful cross-stitch and finally finished it. I found this frame at the recycling center and thought I'd give it a home. I've been following Karen at Papercraft Memories and she is often painting and adding charm to her projects/ signs. So I thought I'd try to paint this. I used Kaisercraft white paint and then after it dried, I sanded some of it off. I kinda like how it turned out. Then it looked just too plain so I added some crochet ribbon some twine that I knotted and a bunch of old buttons from my collection. It's now hanging in my bedroom. Below is a close up of some of the buttons. Below is a picture with a bit of a shadow on the bottom left corner and you can see the vibrant colour that the glass hasn't hidden in the light.
Thank you so much for dropping by. For some reason lately I've been doing other crafty things?
Have a wonderful day!
My o My, this is beautiful.

This is beautiful!! I used to love to cross stitch but paper has taken over! Your frame is wonderfully embellished!!
ReplyDeleteJenn, this is simply beautiful.....and the frame is a work of art. I love doing cross-stitch, but never have the time, these days.....I'll just put in an order with you....hahaa!
ReplyDeleteI used to cross stitch all the time. Don't know if my eyes could take it now. LOL The frame turned out amazing. The distressing and the bits and bobs are just what it needed. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, Jennifer! I always enjoy your art and always hope that you will consider sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday - I want everyone to have the opportunity to come by and see your art, and share your love for the Lord, of course. You bless and encourage me, and I just know that others who visit will be blessed!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win this week at Twist of Faith. Enjoy your prize. I hope you will play with us at WAW this week as well!

Adorable, wow Jennifer it must of taking you sometime to complete it...
ReplyDeleteI used to do cross stitching before I did cardmaking and it was a challenge to begin and waiting for the end results. But I gave up it was to stressful for my eyes. I'm sure it must be really pretty in real.. Great job....
This is really amazing Jennifer!! Lovely soft and serene scene you've created!! HUGS :)
