Hello! Today I have a card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. It is to use blessings or a scripture on your card.
Ok, so it's not quite right. I made this card for a friend as an encouragement. I used two digi stamps from MelJen's Designs, one for the outside and one for the inside. I will be adding the lyrics to a song by John W Peterson to the inside (I didn't take a picture of that since my writing isn't worthy of posting!) It goes like this:
Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful, wonderful, wonderful;
O isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful! Wonderful it is to me.
I pray that she'll be blessed knowing that Jesus's love is always enough!

Missing You Bunny
This is my second post today, so feel free to scroll down to see my Autumn Sunshine post. This card is a card that I've created for the MelJen's Design's sketch challenge this week. I just love this ragbunny and thought she went well on a missing you card. My mom gave me these sweet textured paper flowers and I've been waiting for just the right project to pair them with. I layered all the flowers together to add some fullness to them, and the rhinestones were just begging to be added to set them off.
Supplies:
Stamp: Digi Image and sentiment by MelJen's Designs
Papers: Yellow cardstock from Stampin'Up; Purple paper from my stash
Accessories: Textured paper flowers- a gift; Rhinestones

Autumn Sunshine
Welcome to my blog! Today I have a card that I've created for Designed 2 Delight's Friday challenge. I used to work in a flower shop and love to make flower arrangements! The fall mums were always a hit! So here is my arrangement for you. I coloured the mums with different shades since it shows more of their layered look. The pot I tried to make look like glazed pottery. I love the sparkle of the gold ribbon so I added some sparkles to the center of the flowers and to the edge of the sentiment. I also added a bit of ink to the distressed edges of the brown cardstock as a finishing touch.
Supplies:
Stamps: D2D's Autumn Mums digi and sentiment set
Ink: Ink It Up -chocolate brown
Papers: Orange cardstock from Stampin'Up and Brown embossed from ATD
Accessories: Ribbon from Modern@Home; Misc buttons; Glitter by DecoArt Twinkles Writer - Silver

Let's Go Fly A Kite!
I have another birthday card for The Stamping Boutique that I have just made. I have used a new digi stamp that I have just gotten from Stretch N' Bubbles called You Lift Me Up. I sponged some ink around the kite layer to blend it a bit with the cardstock, but it's hard to see in this picture. I also added the flower eyelets since they went with the sweet flowers in the patterned paper. Pink embroidery thread was added to go with the kite string.
Supplies:
Stamps: You Lift Me Up from Stretch N' Bubbles; Sentiment from Lil' Inkers Designs
Ink: Ink It Up- Chocolate Brown; Windflower- Blue; prismacolor pencil crayons
Papers: Stampin' Up cardstock; Patterned papers by ATD Momenta
Accessories: Ribbon- Mulitcraft Inports; misc embroidery thread; flower eyelets - Forever in Time
Tools: hammer; eyelet punch

Everyone Loves Cake!
Hello everyone! It's time for some cake over at The Stamping Boutique. They have been celebrating their birthday over there and I have made a cake for them. It's a little late, but better late than never, right! I love cake with layers and sparkles so this card has those aspects incorporated into it. I added some sparkles to the layers of icing and the ribbon has sparkles woven into it. I used Fiskar glue dots to pop up the two layers, and tucked the flagpole under the first layer.
Supplies:
Stamps: DDH cake from their Hello Season's set; Sentiment flag from Lil' Inkers Designs.
Paper: Misc papers from my stash
Ink: Stampsology - Black; Prismacolor pencil crayons
Accessories: Sparkly mulitcoloured string; DecoArt Twinkles Writer - Silver; Fiskar glue dots.

Thinking of You Kitties
Today I have a card for a MelJen's challenge. It is paper piercing/ faux stitching. I am new to this, but wanted to have a go at it. I paper pierced the corners of the image and the sentiment. My daughter picked out the sweet kitties from MelJen's freebies to use. Since I love orange cats, I went with an orange based card. I distressed the edges of the sentiment a bit and popped up the largest flower to add some depth.
Supplies:
Stamps: MelJen's Kitten's digi freebie, Thinking of You clear stamp by Inkadinkado
Paper: Papers are from Stampin'Up and the brown from my misc stash.
Ink: Ink It Up! (Chocolate Brown) and image coloured with prismacolor pencil crayons.
Tools: Paper Piercer
Accessories: Misc felt flowers with buttons from my collection, and misc brown ribbon.

Designed to Delight Happiness Blooms
This is another card for the weekly Designed 2 Delight challenge. Their lovely image is called Happiness Blooms. I thought I'd try my hand at paper piecing and so I did the vase this time. It looked kind of plain so I inked the edges just a bit, added a couple of sticks of cardstock and a pearl. Flowers always make me smile, so I hope you enjoy my flowery card today.
Supplies:
Stamps/ Images: D2D Happiness Blooms
Papers: Stampin' Up and Autumn Leaves
Tools: Prismacolor pencil crayons, circle scallop template, scissors, paper piercer.
Accessories: Stampin'Up crochet ribbon, Pearl Daisies from Forever in Time.

Red Tea Cup
Today is a new card that I made for the September Sketch Challenge over at One Crazy Stamper.
I used some new items that were from a wonderful gift that was given to me by a sweet and crafty friend of mine. ( The Stampin' Up patterned paper and the great polka dot red ribbon. ) I used a couple of great freebie digi images from MelJen's and I coloured them with prismacolor pencil crayons. With one new twist today. I used blending sticks and baby oil for the first time to blend the colours together. I like how it turned out for my first attempt. I added three red buttons and mounted the images on some great red cardstock that I just got from Stampin' Up. The die shape behind the tea cup is from a template that I traced and cut out.
Feel free to join in the challenge, it's open for a few more days.

Race Car Birthday
Here is a card that I put together for a friends son. He loves going fast so I thought this image would suit him. The image is a day at the races freebie I found at Operationwritehome.org. and the sentiment I found free online at Birds cards as well. I coloured my image with pencil crayons, cut it out and layered it on some great papers from K& Company. The ribbons are from modern@home and I added a fun button that looks like a wheel. I distressed the edges since it seems to fit how he'll probably feel when he finally comes to a stop.
Here is a close up of the wheel button. I tied it with some braiding cord to add a fun touch, since gocarts are often tied together with various odd strings and tape etc.
Some of the best things in life are things put together with bits and pieces.

Cranberry Syrup
Happy Fall Everyone! Here in the Yukon it's very fall, the leaves are turned and falling and the berries are ripe for the picking. For me, my favorite are the low bush cranberries! I love to pick, eat and preserve them so they can be enjoyed all year long. Or, until they run out of course.
This is part of a batch of cranberry syrup that I've made. It's wonderful on pancakes and french toast! I've dressed up the jars a bit for gifts. I saw this beautiful leaf patterned material in berry colours and thought it was meant to be. The material is actually from an old parka. I love to recycle whenever possible. I cut out some cranberry cardstock with decorative scissors (Rocky Mountain) and adhered it to some white cardstock. Then I added an eyelet so I could tie it on with some ribbon. For an added fall touch I stamped a leaf with cranberry ink on each tag. I pray they are enjoyed!

Annabelle Button Red
Today I have my third card for Annabelle Stamp's birthday challenge. If you haven't had a chance to check them out than hop on over Here to see what all the fun is about. Even if you've missed the previous challenges, you can catch up since they all end on the 14th. So it's not to late if you want to join in.
This challenge it is being hosted by Patti and Marion. The challenge is to create a card/project that has 2 of something starting with B. So this is what I have come up with. Yes I know I have the same image as the previous two, but I just love it and wanted to do another take on it. I left out a sentiment so that it could be used for any occasion. For my two B's I included 2 Blooms and 2 Buttons. I enjoyed trying out my new Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria) to add some texture to the card. I don't have a Cuttlebug machine -yet! so I used a good old rolling pin instead. Unfortunately it didn't show up that well in the photo. I used some pop up glue dots to lift the center panel off the card.
I loved these buttons so I thought I'd just take a close up for you all to see them. I tied them on with embroidery thread since I lots left over from cross-stitching projects.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps/Images: Annabelle birthday flower digi stamp
Papers: Red and White cardstock
Accessories: Red Buttons and Red Embroidery thread
Other: Pop up glue dots from Fiscars
